Hello, I'm Honey. My life began in a bustling cat colony, where I became a mother at a young age. I was brought in by BARS where I had my kittens and made sure they all went to forever homes, but now it's my turn! Despite the challenges, I never lost my sweetness or my spirit. I'm a cuddly, friendly soul who adores company but also cherishes my independence. I'd do best where I'm the only cat. I've always found comfort in the quiet moments, purring softly while curled up in a cozy corner. Life has taught me resilience and love in equal measure. I'm ready to share my warmth and affection with a family who'll appreciate my unique blend of independence and companionship. Adopting me means gaining a friend who'll always be there, offering a soft purr and a comforting presence.Adoption processAll adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline/small animal) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 48 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 48 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application. All dogs and puppies have an adoption fee of $300, kittens under 6 months of age have an adoption fee of $250, and cats over 6 months of age have an adoption fee of $200, unless otherwise noted.
