Job detailsLocation: Surrey, BC V3W 0J5Salary: $22.00 hourly / 35 hours per WeekTerms of employment: Permanent, Full-time employment Start date: Starts As Soon As PossiblePosition Available :2 TEER:95101 Job Duties: Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products. Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers. Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials. Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment. Load and unload vehicle. Read and interpret work orders. Requirements & Additional information: Languages: EnglishEducation: No degree, certificate or diplomaExperience: Will train Work site environment : Dusty Hot Noisy Work setting: Sheet metal fabrication shop Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks Physically demanding Attention to detail Handling heavy loads Large workload Standing for extended periods Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability: Flexibility Reliability Team player How to apply: By email:
