She was rescued from a dog slaughterhouse in Suwon City, South Korea in 2022 Initially, on her first day in her foster home, she was timid and unsure of her new surroundings. However, this gentle girl quickly warmed up within 2-3 days. She showed trust by exposing her belly and eagerly seeking pets from her foster mom. Dobby prefers a slower pace, but if you patiently wait for her, she will approach you first, secretly desiring affection. Dobby is good with children. Although she may have been scared by loud noises or screaming, she gradually learned to trust and sought out affection from children. She became a loyal companion, following them around and enjoying their company. When it comes to other dogs, Dobby approaches them with a gentle demeanor and allows them to sniff her. She is more inclined to interact with smaller dogs and may exhibit more independence at the dog park when encountering larger dogs. During walks, Dobby tends to pull a bit on the leash. At the beginning, she was reluctant to go outside and would quickly return home after doing her business. However, with practice and consistent outings, she grew more comfortable and confident. After a week of fostering, she began showing her true personality, happily sniffing around and even engaging in zoomies at the park. Dobby prefers not to have the collar and leash put on, but once they are on, she walks well and follows the handler's lead. Dobby has a low to moderate energy level and is incredibly calm inside the house. She is not prone to barking and understands the command "NO" when she does make a sound. Dobby is intelligent and aware of her surroundings. While she may show curiosity and stare at birds, she is less likely to chase after them. Dobby is not highly motivated by food and eats moderately. She enjoys treats but is not overly food-driven. She is fully house-trained and has never had an accident at home. In the car, Dobby may drool a bit due to her unfamiliarity with car rides. It is helpful to have someone hold and guide her into the car. However, when it's time to exit the car, she can do so independently. For those seeking a calm, loving, and mellow companion, Dobby would be a perfect match. Her transformation from a timid rescue dog to a trusting and affectionate companion showcases her resilience and capacity for love.
