We employ more than 1,200 people in environmental waste management and recovery, renewable energy, paving and construction, aggregates, and emulsions chemistries.Growth and transformation are a natural part of our business, and our employees evolve with us.We are looking for a Mechanic at our Walker Environmental Division Compound located in Niagara.MechanicYou are a certified Mechanic, Truck or Coach Technician (310T). You are a strong team player who enjoys servicing and troubleshooting vehicles and equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance on equipment. You are able to work independently, interpreting work orders and technical manuals, maintaining work logs and meeting deadlines. You're perfect for this job because you are: * Analytical - you process information quickly; you enjoy troubleshooting and creating solutions. * Careful - you take the time to get the job done correctly and safely. You watch for maintenance indicators and anticipate problems before they happen. * Driven - "good" isn't good enough for you. You actively look for ways to maximize your role and make our whole operation better. * Helpful - you'll be joining a collaborative team that's small but mighty. Your helpfulness will make the whole team stronger. This is a unionized, hourly position. We offer a rate of $38.00 per hour to start and after the 3-month probationary period is over you will be increased to $39.00 per hour, and receive full benefits and pension plan.
