Security Officer - Radio Room - Full Time Langley

Commissionaires BC is hiring for a security professional to work at a high profile Government site in Langley. Shift time: 4 days on 4 days off, 12 hour shifts (days/nights) Pay Rate: $28.71Due to the nature of the site, security officers are required to obtain a Secret Clearance from the Canadian Government. This is an in depth process and can take up to 6 months to clear. Alternative employment can be offered in the meantime depending on candidate preference/qualifications. Some of your responsibilities include: Ensure safety of staff out in the field Radio operation Run background checks from information provided by field staff Answering phone queries and problem solving First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols. Your Must Haves: Valid BC Security License Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 years due to clearance requirements OFA 1 or willing to obtain one Class 5 Drivers License and Personal Vehicle Excellent English oral and written skills You’re a good fit if you have: Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills Strong administrative skills Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure What’s in it for you?
