Creating custom fit garments. Taking clients measurements using a measure tape. Altering clothes such as shortening sleeves or straps, narrowing lapels to make it more comfortable. Sew fabric by cutting or marking cloths and Making dresses for customers based on their design ideas and choices. Adjusting clothing as per the clients request by lining or removing pockets. Attaching labels to customers' garments to prevent any damage. Repairing garments, which includes patching or sewing holes.Requirements:&* No formal education required but completion of grade 12 is an asset.&* Combination of post secondary education in the similar field and/or minimum of 6 months to 1-year of experience in the same field is required.
