Meet Georgina!! She is currently being fostered in the Fraser Valley and ready for meet-and-greets! Georgina was found hanging by wire from her neck in a house in Mexico with her 2 siblings (Sophie and Pablo). They were in very rough shape and only a few months old. Our amazing rescue partner swooped in literally and figuratively to rescue these pups from what was certian to be suffering and a slow death.Georgina and her siblings have been nursed back to health and are now healthy, happy puppies that have not shown any negative effects from the horror they were saved from.Georgina is now approx 9.5 months old, 28 lbs and 17" in height.Georgina is very good natured and curious, so we think she would make a great companion for someone who loves hiking, long walks and camping. She loves toys, especially the soft squeaky kind and will play endlessly with them. She will explore for hours, sniffing out every little critter. She is good with other dogs, cats not tested. She will growl at new dogs but this is just a low confidence behaviour and is playing with them in no time! Georgina walks well on a leash and picks up commands really quickly. She does require some more work on her "puppy manners" but will pick this up quickly once she has some 1 on 1 time.Due to her energy level and that she does still jump when excited, a home with no young children is best.VETTING: Fully vaccinated. Spayed. SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Dewormed. Flea/tick treatment. No known health issues or injuries.UPDATE FROM GEORGINA'S FOSTER MOM:Georgina is a loving and smart girl! She loves to cuddle and to play. In the house, she likes to be close to you and follow you around. Out in the yard, she frolics and plays happily like a typical puppy. She is eager to please and responds well to correction. She does sometimes "nip" or "hold" when she is over excited but will stop when told a firm no. Currently she lives with 5 other dogs, a cat and goats. While she might growl at first meeting, she settles quickly and is happy to play and flop around the other dogs - exactly how a puppy of 8 months should! She does not show any signs of anxiety and can be left alone without “puppy mayhem”.Georgina walks well on a leash, she does not pull, and will sit with some direction. She is mostly house trained with only a few accidents here & there, which is to be expected. Georgina is small in size for a Shepherd breed, smaller then she appears in photos. She is super affectionate and loves to be petted! She loves to climb up on your lap for a cuddle whenever she has the chance! This pup has SO much love to give.##1716089##
