Miles HR has a contract opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join this excellent company in Burnaby, BC known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team on a contract basis until the end of December 2023. Position Overview: Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of our financial obligations. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a commitment to accuracy, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Review and process high volume vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to verify the completeness of transactions. Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and process payments through various methods Collaborate with internal teams to address invoice and payment inquiries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of accounts payable best practices and relevant regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
