Hi my name is "ELLIE" , I am a POINTER MIX, though unfortunately I inherited only the colors! None of that God bestowed ability to eat the works, firsts, seconds and desert and show nothing for it! I now weight about 25 kg, and not without effort! I used to "work" as security for a woman - who paid me by putting outside a ton of leftover food - so I can hang out around her property. As a result I had become … rubenesque! And that's until a nice lady came along and soooo kindly thought I was pregnant. She decided that I needed a safe heaven to deliver my babies so she put me in her car and we just drove away! I was excited because even though a got a lot people before thinking the same thing no one did anything about it, just ooh's and aahhh's! But she - the nice lady - was no other than our own Anastasia! On our way we stopped at the the vet - where I was called out! "Overweight" is what I was! Not pregnant! But Anastasia never returned me to where she picked me up from but instead we drove to a place where there's no unhealthy leftovers of sausage and meatballs. Instead I got carrots dipped in love, I got praise and lots of caresses! And I sure got exercise, lots of exercise! Now I know what was missing from my life! Love!! There is an abundance of that here at the sanctuary, but - call me spoiled - I would like to be an only child, have my very own family and get al all the love and attention! "ELLIE" is 3 years old and a picture of health. She is now fit, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. In addition she has been housebroken and leash trained. She is social with dogs - if a bit choosy - and doesn't pay attention to cats. She is also very human and food oriented. She would be happy in any family.
