Obtain a copy of production schedule or shipping orders and transport materials or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility. Stacking goods in the correct storage bay, following stock control instructions. Checking to ensure that the loads are secure. Stacking empty pallets in an area instructed by the inventory control supervisor. Performing daily equipment checks, for example, lubricating equipment, etc. Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines. Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards. Helping to load and unload the vehicles by hand where necessary. Performing other warehouse tasks like packing. Dumping materials into machine hoppers. Requirements: No specific education requirement. Experience is an asset; however, on the job training will be provided. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records. Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner. Physical demands and abilities: Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. and adjusting body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
