Oh hello there! My name is PEPE (Pepe le Pew, Mr. Peps, Peppy), and here is some info about me:PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Poodle Mix Age: approx. 1 year Gender: Male Weight: 25 lbs (11.5 kg) - I'll likely grow a bit more, maybe maxing out around 30 lbs Height (paws to top of head): approx. 42 cm Length (nose to bum): approx 56 cm Current Location: MEXICO CITY RESCUE STORY – Me and my entire doggy family (pawrents and siblings) were left outside the local shelter here in Mexico City. My siblings, Mei Mei and Indi, are also available for adoption! Although I was really sad to be abandoned like that, I am safe and well taken care of here at the shelter. I dream of a home with hoomans who really want me and who will love me furever!TEMPERAMENT - I am a very friendly puppy and boy do I ever love cuddles from hoomans ( video ). Ahh, cuddles are just the bestest! I also loveeee chin scritches. I am very playful and like to jump up to say "HI LETS PLAY!" I get along with dogs of all sizes, kitty cats, and children (videos coming soon!). Really... I'm just the total package-- complete with crazy Kramer hair hehe.I am looking for a family that is happy to do "all things puppy" with me. I need a family that will play with me LOTS and give me lots of exercise. I will also need to learn general manners and leash skills-- all that typical puppy stuff!ENERGY LEVEL - Medium/High - I'm young, playful, and full of energy... a typical puppy! Bring on the walkies, hikes, and daily enrichment activities... I'm ready for 'em! Mental and physical exercise are going to be crucial to my happiness! Once I've exercised and gotten my crazies out, I'm happy to snooze and cuddle!GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes - videos can be filmed upon request. Dogs – Yup! I live with lots of other dogs at the shelter, and we get along just great. I love to hangout with my doggy friends ( video , video 2 , video 3 ) and my siblings ( video , video 2 ). I'm a great wrestle buddy with willing participants too ( video , video 2 )! Cats – Yes - video here. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around new things in Canada like cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Work in progress! This whole leash thing is new to me, as a young pup. I will need a patient adopter who is happy to work on my leash training and who can teach me how to walk nice. A well-fitted harness and lots of positive reinforcement will help me learn quickly :) House trained – Work in Progress. I know I'm supposed to do my business outside in the courtyard at my foster home, however I still have a few accidents. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn propper habits in my new home :) Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain) to offer adopters one training session at a rate of $25. Any subsequent sessions will be offered at a rate of $50. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I receive a monthly pill to prevent heartworm. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.
