UPDATE: I had found an adopter on the mainland, but due to me not getting along with their cats, I unfortunately need to be rehomed to a home without cats. My rehoming adopter has said that I am a very sweet and gentle dog . I got along very well with the other dogs in the family. I also warmed up very quickly to the humans. I have been more afraid of men in the past but my current foster dad is the love of my life at this time so I think I can change, eh?! I have also gone through some times of nervousness but with a loving, calm foster in my life, I am really maturing nicely. I arrived in Canada about 3 months ago so I have begun to acclimatize but my magnificent adult self is still developing. My name is Sugar and here is some history info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Whippet/Retriever mixjust turned 1 year oldFemaleMay grow to be about 18-20 kg when fully grownHighlights: Food motivated, loves other dogs, shy around strangers RESCUE STORY: My rescuer found me on the streets with the rest of the litter that I was a part of. Only half of us survived, and lucky for me I was one of them! I'm a very friendly dog, but I can be a bit shy around new people. Once I get to know you, I love attention! I'm easily trainable as I am food motivated and love treats. I love being around both humans and dogs, and I love to play and cuddle with my humans. TEMPERAMENT: ENERGY LEVEL:MediumGETS ALONG WITH:Kids – NODogs – YESCats – NOPREY DRIVE:CATS - will chase catsI’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
