White Point Beach - Housekeeping Shift Supervisor JOB DESCRIPTION : Housekeeping Shift Supervisor (2 positions available) RESPONSIBLE TO : Executive Housekeeper RESPONSIBLE FOR : 1. Providing efficient, attentive and friendly service to the guest 2. Adherence and maintenance of established standards . Practices good customer relations 4. The smooth functioning of the housekeeping department STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE : 1. The cost profitability of the department 2. Quality of service . Degree of guest acceptance and satisfaction 4. Quality of coordinating with peers, staff, management and results achieved BASIC FUNCTIONS : 1. Inspects the cleanliness and state of repair of guest accommodation 2. Inspects the cleanliness and state of repair of public spaces . Assists the Executive Housekeeper with control of inventory 4. Performs duties of Executive Housekeeper in absence 5. Assists in interviewing and selecting staff 6. Sets goals and objectives for the department with management assistance 7. Ensures that agreed policies and standards are adhered to 8. Establishes job descriptions and task sheets for all housekeeping staff 9. Maintains ongoing training and development of employees 10. Performs ongoing evaluation of staff by way of room checks 11. Conducts regular communication and pre-shift meetings 12. Schedules staff efficiently considering forecasts and actual room counts 1 . Reviews staffing schedules with Management 14. Ensures that all controls are in place and adhered to 15. Controls par stocks and requisitions 16. Controls the maintenance and upkeep of the department and the equipment within 17. Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the operating manual 18. Conducts performance reviews according to White Point policy 19. Has full knowledge of performance required for the completion of duties by other housekeeping positions
