Solana, a 11 month old shepherd cross is looking for a home. She is predicted to grow to 45 lbs. Solana and her litter of 5 were found near the SPCA Puerto Vallarta sanctuary. Their mum Keisha was tied up and left blind after surviving being poisoned. The puppies were in very poor condition suffering from malnourishment at such a young age. Solana and her litter have been staying in a quiet rural sanctuary and have been tested in volunteer homes and out on walks. Solana is medium energy. She is very attached to her siblings and cries for them if not together. She is timid with strangers especially if her siblings are not with her. Solana would love a quiet life in a quiet home without a lot of guests or kids as that would be too much for her. She gets car sick, so big road trips are not her preference. Solana is good with dogs and cats but shy at first, so she’d like a slow introduction, but might benefit from a confident furry friend to show her the world. Solana’s rural and quiet start in life makes her a dog that would not do well in an urban setting or apartment building. Solana is now healthy and vaccinated.
