Im Ruger! My owners broke up a few months ago and I found myself at the boarding kennel because there werent any open foster homes for me. I was pretty bummed out in there, but luckily I finally found my way into a foster home! So, I thought Id take a moment to reintroduce myself!Im an already neutered male German Shepherd mix weighing about 50 pounds! I will be two this coming March! My current foster momma doesnt know how anyone couldve given me up. I attended puppy obedience classes when I was younger and have been learning lots of new tricks and sharpening up my manners with a trainer while in boarding. Mom says Im almost better behaved than my foster brother (but dont tell him ). I know lots of commands like sit, stay, come, place, no, and leave it! I LOVE to play fetch and my ball is a better motivator for me than even my treats, but I love those too! Playing fetch is a great way for me to get my daily exercise, which I definitely need. I walk very well on my leash and enjoy walks. My foster brother is the same size as me and I play very well with him and girl dogs, too! Im not sure about dogs smaller than me, I think theyre a little too yippy for my big ears . Once Ive tired myself out, I love to lay next to my humans, cuddle on the couch, and take a nap. I eat very well and take my treats nice and gentle. I do my potty business outside and I spend time in my crate at night and while my foster parents are at work. I enjoy my cozy space in there and dont make a peep. I ride well in the car and Im not a barker. All in all, mom says she cant wait until someone meets me and falls in love just as quickly as she did!
