Almost 3 years young, this strapping young lad ticks off so many good boy boxes. Heâs sweet, happy, friendly, playful, affectionate, smart, and charming! One of our favorite things about Abel â within just a few minutes of going for a walk, heâll gently lean his whole body against your legs to tell you that itâs time for pets and chest rubs. The more you pet him, the more he melts into you. Before you know it, heâs lying on his back, belly-up, grinning from ear-to-ear for belly rubs. Who doesnât need that kind of affection in their life?! And my goodness is he smart! When he first came in, itâs true, he was a bit of a spazz on the leash. All it took was a bit of yummy kibble and he got the hang of leash walking in no time! Same with other cues like sit, down, and off. Heâs a bigger boy with typical rottweiler exuberance, we think heâd do best in a home without small kids, preferably with a person or family that has large-breed experience and a fenced backyard so he can enjoy all the zoomies!
