Adopt Raisin a Black - with White Mixed Breed (Medium) / Mixed dog in Vancouver
Raisin is 1 of the 2 dogs who were dumped at our volunteer accommodation in January 2019. With no idea where they came from and nowhere to return them, we decided to put them up for adoption and find them some new homes! Raisin and Rum are now inseparable. When Raisin was going through sterilization surgery, Rum even laid loyally and protectively by her side, watching to make sure she was taken care of. Raisin is bounding with energy, and is always ready for an adventure. Beach walks are her favorite time of day, where she can use some of that energy to play with her friends, trot through the water, and chase birds. She has taken to her training quite well, but her short attention span means that she needs someone who is patient and persistent to keep her on task. She is, however, ecstatic about food, and we use this to our advantage, using treats when teaching commands. This has come in handy during training, for she is in the habit of nipping people, but progress is incredibly visible, and she is surely being trained out of these habits. She is also good with other dogs, making friends in the kennels easily, however, an older dog may not want to handle her energy as much. Ideally, we would love for Raisin and Rum to be adopted together. However, we are open to either of them being adopted separately if the home is right.
