Adopt Pearl a Black - with White Pointer / Mixed dog in Surrey, BC (20162147)
This is Pearl. Pearl is a stunning, six year old sleek looking female Pointer mixture. Pearl was abandoned in the Yukon Territories and left to fend for herself after her family moved to the US. The neighbours were familiar with Pearl but didn’t realized she had been deserted until 1 of them found her wandering around in a wooded area - alone, frightened and very hungry. The neighbour, who was able to provide Pearl’s name and approximate age, put her in the care of a very kind rescuer who lives in the area. After two months of love and attention Pearl has transformed into a gorgeous girl who is joyful and full of life. Pearl is ready now to find her new forever home. She is an easy going girl who will make a cute part of the family. She is very good with cats, dogs and children and is friendly and full of fun. She is playful but has a quiet side too. And although she is outgoing she can be a little reserved with new people. She is really the perfect dog - lovely to look at and easy to love. Pointers are an energetic breed who require regular daily exercise. Pearl loves walking and is very good on the leash. Her idea of heaven tho is playing fetch and chasing sticks or balls. She is athletic and very fast at catching balls right out of the air! She loves running, hiking and other outdoor activities so is well suited to active people who love the outdoors. A fenced back yard would be good for her, but she can’t be left outside alone for very long. She’s had enough of being alone and more than anything needs to be with her family. Pearl is looking for a family that has lots of time for her and lots of love to give.. She is very people-oriented and will attach herself deeply to her family. She will be happiest being included in their activities and joining them on their outings. She hasn’t been taught the basic commands and would be so happy to have someone take the time to teach her. Even without being trained, she is very respectful and obedient when asked to sit and wait quietly for her treats! Pearl doesn’t seem to have any bad habits - no barking, chewing or digging! She isn’t destructive in the house and doesn’t need to be kept in a crate. She is vaccinated, spayed and housetrained and ready to be your best four-legged friend!
