Takes a while to warm up to them. Bring treats, he loves treats! If he' really uncomfortable he won't take treats from anyone.Good with kids: unknown, likelyGood with other dogs: seems to be. Slow intros.Good with cats: No. Barks and growls at my cat. They are kept separate.House trained: YesCrate trained: No. He is an escape artist from a metal crate. My kitchen is his home at night and when I'm at work. Don't leave stuff out on table or counters. He will counter surf and chew anything chewable.Energy level: mediumCan be handled/touched: yes, but shy of new people and sensitive around his back wound. Can be picked up.Barker: sometimes coming in out of the house and at meal times.Flight risk: he doesn't look to escape but if he got loose he could be hard to catch because he is leery of new people.Food aggressive: not with people and seems to be ok with dogs. I have given treats together with my dog and not had an issue, but I have been feeding meals separately.Current food: NOW grain free turkey salmon duck kibble. Might change, but he's not picky.Walks on leash: seems to be good, not a huge puller but we have only practiced around the backyard.Leash reactive to people or dogs: doesn't seem to be. Again, little exposure with this.Rides well in car: yes but not used to it, gets car sick still.Destructive: yes, he will chew anything he can get ahold of. Have been keeping him busy with stuffed frozen kongs (he loves peanut butter), treats in a kong or snuffle mat. He likes toys soft and hard.Needs a home with a yard: yes. Enjoys zooming in the backyard and rolling and sniffing.Needs a home with another dog: noCan live in an apartment: no Foster comments: Flash loves to be outside to run and play with his toys. He plays well with my female dog but seemed nervous of her at first by barking/growling. This could also have been because he was in pain due to his back wound and felt vulnerable. I would recommend slow intros for him with any dogs. He can be a bit stubborn if he doesn't want to come inside or walk on leash and doesn't like baths. He is a very sweet dog and loves toys and chew bones. Temperament: pretty chill in the house. Doesn't get overly excited except at meal times, he likes to bark.
