Adopt Angie a White Shepherd (Unknown Type) / Mixed dog in Moose Jaw
Moose Jaw, SK
Angie is a stunning girl who arrived here at MJHS through no fault of her own. Angie is a special needs dog who needs a particular type of owner. A potential adopter should have lots of time to work with her, lots of patience with dogs, and be willing to love her even though she might not return the love as quickly as they would like. Angie is a very shy, very quiet and extremely docile 5yr old Shepherd mixture who lived with many other dogs for the 1st part of her life and because of that she never really bonded/connected with us humans and still doesn't have that trust in us that any other dog would. We have been working at building her trust in us for the past couple months and she has improved exponentially but still isn't quite there yet. We believe a quiet home environment would give her more opportunities at learning to trust humans and her surroundings, and would also better her chances at getting to a point where she is comfortable enough to let her guard down. For these reasons, we would love if her potential adopter came to visit Angie a few times in the beginning, and then if they would like to continue the process, we would discuss how we would move further at that time. She is precious with other dogs and feels more comfortable with a canine companion around her, but we would have potential adopters with other dogs complete a "Meet & Greet" session or 2 before taking her home. Angie deserves an amazing 2nd chance at life and we know her "someone" is out there.
