Adopt Pippy a Brown or Chocolate Domestic Shorthair / Domestic Shorthair / Mixed
PIPPY, F/SBorn June 1 2019From foster mom, Precious Pippy is a beautiful, unique cat. She is a Torbie and a Polydactyl, which means she is a Tortoiseshell-Tabby and has extra digits on each paw. Either trait is uncommon but to have both in one cat is very special!!Pippy has soft, dense fur and the loudest purr, especially when you massage her scruff and ears. She is quiet, eats well and enjoys laying low during the daytime. At night when it is dark and calm, Pippy comes to life and loves nothing better than playing with her toys and rearranging her sleeping blankets to suit her preference in the moment. Before coming to the rescue, Pippy lived outdoors for a period of time. She faced hardships and continues to bear the effects of this trauma. Her main challenge revolves around trust. Since lockdown, Pippy has been in a foster home where she has shown progress in bonding with her humans, and revealing her capacity to love. Being highly food-motivated has helped her learn to relax. It is essential for prospective adopters to understand that she requires. time and patience to settle in. During this process, heeding her signals about the need for space or a safe spot will be important. Otherwise she could respond with a hiss or even a smack. For this reason, Pippy will do best in a quiet, child-free home with experienced cat owners who have the time and willingness to nurture this lovely cat and help her reach her potential.
