Description:
Responsibilities include: Perform various tasks including carrying materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting other workers by holding materials or working alongside them. Operate both hand and power tools as necessary for construction tasks. Assist in the setup and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades at construction sites. Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required. Engage in physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches and mixing concrete. Assist heavy equipment operators by securing attachments, guiding them, and providing assistance with various activities. Aid in aligning pipes and performing tasks related to oil and gas pipeline construction. Assist with drilling and blasting rock at construction sites. Participate in building demolition by using prying bars and other tools, as well as cleaning and stacking salvaged materials. Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in construction, such as mixers, compressors, and pumps. Handle cleanup of chemical spills and other contaminants, and assist in the removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos. Perform maintenance tasks such as oiling and greasing hoists and similar equipment. Clear rubble and debris from construction sites. Assist in directing traffic at or near construction sites as needed.
